“The 1,000th robot-assisted operation was performed with the DaVinci system these days.”

The first DaVinci was put into operation at Salzburg University Hospital’s Department of Urology in 2018. There are now three systems – two at Salzburg University Hospital (University Hospital for Urology and Surgery) and one at the Hallein Regional Hospital, which is also used for the day clinic there.

The DaVinci system has now been used in a total of 2,400 operations at Salzburg University Hospital and Hallein Regional Hospital.
